I removed it from it's packaging, pushed the button, it turned on and works fine. BUT, IT WON'T SHUT OFF. The only way to stop it is to take the batteries out. I tried contacting InnoDesk, but their website is gone and their telephone number is disconnected.

Works great. have to give mail a tap to ensure that you are only slicing the top of the envelope off and not part of the letter inside. would recommend buying as a gift for your lazy ass boss who complains about how many letters he has to open. he now opens his own mail without complaining.

I bought this for my mother-in-law who had shoulder replacement surgery and wasn't able to open envelopes with a traditional opener. The opener is easy to use. She says that she enjoys it so much she's planning to use it even after her shoulder is fully healed.
